Pregnancy is so different for everyone. Wherever you are, let’s help you manage.

Pregnancy is a time of huge change, and knowing how to eat well can make the experience so much easier. A dietitian helps you feel confident in your choices—supporting energy levels, healthy weight gain, and your baby’s development. If you’re managing gestational diabetes or pregnancy symptoms, we create simple, balanced strategies that fit your life. And as you approach birth, we guide you on nutrition for labour, recovery and breastfeeding, so you feel supported every step of the way.

Pregnancy comes with a few distinct stages. So whether you’ve just seen those two pink lines, or you’re preparing for the transition of your bump to becoming a baby, let us help you.

Gestational Diabetes

Gestational Diabetes is a condition in which a pregnant woman develops diabetes due to the changes in hormones during pregnancy. For many women, it can be managed with dietary changes alone, while others will need medication. Whether you’ve just been diagnosed, or have had gestational diabetes in the past, and want to take every step to prevent it this time, here at AKIN we offer support packages to help you navigate your hormones - an addition to your NHS care.

Early Pregnancy

No matter how long you’ve been trying or how much you want it, nothing quite prepares you for seeing those two pink lines, that positive test. We are here to help you navigate those early stages - considering food safety, taste aversions, pregnancy sickness and giving your body everything it needs t grow a healthy baby.
